Vintage 1949 photo of Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta S/N 0008M.
This photo shows the being driven back to the garage after winning the 1949 running of the 24 Heures du Mans.
The car in question is S/N 0008M and now resides in the USA.
The photo measures some 5.7 x 3.25 inches and is in excellent condition.
The back carries the photographer's stamp.
This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

This is a vintage 1949 photo of Peter Whitehead on Ferrari 125 on his way to winning the 1949 Grand Prix of Czechoslovakia at Brno.
In the photo, you can see him chasing after Philippe Etancelin on Talbot-Lago T26C who would finish the race in second place.
Ferrari was still very much an unknown quantity as a make, judging by the corrected spelling mistake in the text on the back.
Ferrari entered 2 125's for this race, the one in this picture and one for Franco Cortese. The starting grid was determined by draw and Cortese ended up in 17th place, leaving him almost without a chance for the win but he still managed a 3rd place. Whitehead had more luck and started from 8th place which he, as mentioned above, turned into a race win.
1949 Photo - Luigi Villoresi - Ferrari 166MM - S/N 0016M - GP Luxembourg.
This is a fantastic shot of Luigi Villoresi on May 26 en route to victory in the 1949 Grand Prix de Luxembourg in the factory entered Ferrari 166 MM, S/N 0016M.
It was only the car's second race and it seems to be residing in Argentina nowadays.
It measures some 9.5 x 6 inches (24 x 17.5 cm), is glossy black & white and appears to be a more recent print.

This is a fantastic shot of Luigi Villoresi on May 26 at the start of the 1949 Grand Prix de Luxembourg in the factory entered Ferrari 166 MM, S/N 0016M.
Luigi would go on to win the race.

This is a fantastic shot of Alberto Ascari enroute to victory on May 18 in the 1950 Grand Prix de Luxembourg in the factory entered Ferrari 166 MM, S/N 0044M.
It was the car's maiden race and it seems to be residing in Hong Kong nowadays.
Vintage 1950 photo of Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta S/N 0010M.
This photo was shot at the 1950 6 Hours Sam Collier Memorial race at Sebring, Florida, USA.
The car in question was previously owned by Scuderia Ferrari who had entered it in the 1949 Mille Miglia and Luigi Chinetti who entered it amongst others in the 1949 24 Heures du Mans.
After Chinetti, it went to Jim Kimberly who was the one who entered it in the race shown here.
Kimberly drove the car together with his mechanic, Marshall Lewis.
The car survives to this day in excellent condition.
The photo measures some 6.5 x 4.5 inches and is in excellent condition.
There are NO references to a possible photographer.

Vintage 1951 photo Ascari & Gonzales Ferrari 375, Italian Grand Prix 1951.
This is a vintage & original photo of Alberto Ascari in his # 2 Ferrari 375 and Froilan Gonzales in his # 6 Ferrari 375 heading for a 1 - 2 victory during the 1951 Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo di Monza.
It measures some 7 x 4.25 inches (18 x 11 cm) and is black & white.
3 B&W photo prints of the Ferrari 500 of Charles de Tornaco, taken at the event of the 1952 Grand Prix of Belgium at Spa Franchorchamps.
De Tornaco competed in only 4 Grand Prix (abandoning in three of them!) and in 1952 he brought the Ecurie Franchorchamps Ferrari 500 home in 7th place.
There is very little know about the man who died at the tender age of 26 while training for the 1953 Gran Premio di Modena in Italy.
The prints are modern prints of vintage negatives, hence the low price.
They each measure 5.75 x 4 inches.

Vintage 1952 photo of Ferrari 225 Sport Vignale Berlinetta S/N 0164ED.
This is a vintage July 1952 photo of the Ferrari 225S of Mr. Kleber, driven by Jean Lucas to victory in the Sables d'Olonne with race number 112.
It is interesting to see that the car carries the (painted) temporary Italian license plate on the front which reads "BO 11890" which was a carry-over from the previous Italian owner, Franco Bordoni.
This number contradicts other sources which mention "BO 11891".
Somewhere in the mid-1950's the car was exported to the USA where it apparently still resides.
The photo measures some 18 x 13 cm or 7 x 5 inches and is in mint condition for its age. There are NO references to the photographer.

Vintage 1952 Photo, Ferrari 212 Export Touring Barchetta S/N 0134E, Preis von Bremgarten.
This is a vintage 1952 photo of the 212 Export of Hans-Karl von Tscharner during practise for the GP of Bremgarten on May 17, 1952.
The next day, von Tscharner would winn his class in the race itself. It was the car's maiden race.
The car, which wore registration number BE-19991 at that time, has disappeared in the mists of time...
The photo measures some 5.5 x 3.5 inches or 14 x 9 cm and has a fold in the left top corner.
1952 photo of Ferrari 225 Sport Touring Barchetta S/N 0166ED - Prix de Monaco - Eugenio Castellotti.
This is a shot of Eugenio Castellotti in his privately owned 225S (S/N 0166 ED) en route to second place overall in the 1952 Grand Prix of Monaco which was held that year for Sports Cars instead of F1 cars.
Castellotti sold the car in 1953 to the USA where it still resides after a 7 years break when it resided in France.
The photo measures some 18 x 12.5 cm or 7 x 5 inches and is in mint condition. The back carries the photographer's stamp + some (incorrect) notes.
This appears to be a more modern print.
1952 Photo - Nino Farina - Ferrari 375 Indianapolis - Gran Premio del Valentino, Torino.
This is a fantastic shot of Nino Farina's Ferrari 375 Indianapolis after he crashed it on April 6, 1952 during the "Gran Premio del Valentino" in Turin, Italy.
Ascari had to retire from the lead with a mere 3 laps to go, giving the win to Luigi Villoresi while Piero Taruffi finished second in a Ferrari 625, Fischer finishing 3rd in Ferrari 212 and Peter Whitehead managing a 4th place in a Ferrari 125.
It measures some 8.5 x 6 inches (22 x 15 cm), is glossy black & white and appears to be a more recent print.
1952 photo of Nino Farina on Ferrari 500 - Grand Prix of Belgium - Spa-Francorchamps.
This 1952 photo shows Nino Farina en route to a second place on June 22, 1952 in the rain-soaked Belgian Grand Prix at Spa - Francorchamps.
The race was won by his team mate Alberto Ascari, also on Ferrari 500 while Piero Taruffi crashed his 500 in lap 13.
Louis Rosier dropped out of the race in lap 6 with transmission problems in his privately entered Ferrari 500 while Charles de Tornaco brought his Ecurie Francorchamps entered 500 home in 7th spot.
The photo measures some 20.5 x 15 cm or 8 x 6 inches and is in good condition.
It appears to be a modern print from the original negative.
This vintage & original 1952 photo shows the Ferrari 340 America of Luigi Chinetti & Jean Lucas in the afternoon of June 14, 1952 during the 1952 running of the 24 Heures du Mans.
The duo was disqualified around 5.00 AM on Sunday due to an illegal refueling attempt.
The car in question is S/N 0204 A, a Vignale Spyder that now seems to reside in the USA.
The photo measures some 23 x 17.5 cm of 9 x 7 inches and is in good condition.
The back carries the stamp of the photographer.
Vintage 1953 photo, Mike Hawthorn on Ferrari 340 MM S/N 0294AM, International Trophy Silverstone.
This is a vintage 1953 photo of Mike Hawthorn and Tom Cole in their # 38 & 37 Ferrari 340MM's either before or after the 1953 International Trophy at Silverstone.
The pair would finish the race in first and second place respectively.
Both cars, S/N 0294AM, the 340 MM Touring Spyder of Mike Hawthorn and S/N 0284AM, the 340 MM Vignale Spyder of Tom Cole survive to this day albeit with completely different bodies so this is a rare opportunity to acquire a vintage photo of these cars in their original shape.
The photo measures some 5 x 3 inches or 13 x 8 cm but is a little bit of an irregular cut. It carries NO copyright notices or photographer's name on the back and is in mint condition.

This is a vintage 1953 photo of the great Alberto Ascari signing autographs after his win in the 1953 running of the Nurburgring 1000 KM race.
Alberto was partnered with Giuseppe Farina for this race and the duo drove their Ferrari 340 MM (375 Plus) Vignale Spyder (S/N 0286AM) to the overall win with a staggering lead of 15 minutes over the second placed Jaguar C Type (S/N XKC 041) of Ian Stewart & Roy Salvadori.
The car survives to this day in the USA.
The photo measures some 16 x 12 cm or 6 x 5 inches.

Vintage 1953 photo of the International Trophy, Silverstone - Mike Hawthorn.
This is a vintage 1953 photograph of the start of the International Trophy held at Silverstone on May 9, 1953.
Clearly visible to the left is the # 35 Cooper T23 bristol of Bob Gerard (would finish the race in 6th spot), in the middle we see Mike Hawthorn in the # 12 Ferrari 500 who would win the race and to the right of Mike we see the the # 10 Cooper T24 - Alta of Peter Whitehead.
The rest of the startng numbers are very hard to read.
It measures some 8 x 5 inches or 21 x 13.5 cm.
It is in mint condition and the back carries no reference to the possible photographer.
Vintage 1953 Photo, Giulio Musitelli on Ferrari 166 MM Abarth S/N 0262M, Targa Florio.
This is a vintage 1953 photo of the Abarth-bodied Ferrari 166MM of Giulio Musitelli being towed back onto the road after an off into a field during the 1953 Targa Florio which he would still finish in 21st place.
The car, S/N 0262M, was originally delivered as a Vignale Spyder in March 1953 but quickly rebodied as a Spider by Abarth for the May 1953 Targa Florio (its maiden race).
In 1954 it was again rebodied, this time by Scaglietti and again as a Spyder.
In recent years it has been brought back to its Abarth body style again.
It seems to reside in the USA now.
The photo measures some 4 x 3 inches or 10 x 7 cm and is in excellent condition. The back carries the stamp of Randazzo in Palermo, Italy along with some penciled annotations.
1954 Enzo Ferrari signed contract with Maurice Trintignant.
Here we have a historically VERY important Scuderia Ferrari item.
This is the original contract that Enzo Ferrari signed with Maurice Trintignant to become a Ferrari works driver in the 1954 season.
The contract is dated March 16, 1954 and covers the terms and conditions under which Trintignant will race.
To make this letter extra special, the back shows the prolongation for the 1955 season.
During these two years, Maurice Trintignant competed in 16 F1 Grand Prix for Scuderia Ferrari, raking up 1 win (Monaco 1955), 2 second places and 1 third place plus winning the 1954 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Enzo signed both the original contract on the front as well as the 1955 continuation on the back.
Comes complete with a contemporary portrait photo of Maurice Trintignant.
We can not express how rare such an item is and how important it is in the history of the Ferrari racing team.

1954 Gold Medal, Syracuse Grand Prix, awarded to Mike Hawthorn.
We are pleased to be able to offer for sale this absolutely unique piece of motoring history:
This medal was given to Mike Hawthorn for competing in the 1954 Syracuse Grand Prix.
Mike drove a Ferrari 625 in this event which he crashed heavily. He sustained serious burns to his arms & legs.
This is what Road & Track wrote about the accident in 1954:
"....Marimon in a Maserati drove too close to the right side of the track and sent up a shower of hay. Blinded by the flying chaff, the second place car, a Ferrari with Hawthorn driving, crashed against the safety wall and the car caught fire. Gonzales, about seven feet behind Hawthorn, piled into the Englishman's car, careened and went into the wall. Both cars were destroyed by the flames and Hawthorn was taken to the hospital....".
Shown below is a photo from R&T of the scene of the accident.
This medal went straight from Mike's estate, in 1959, to an important collector from whom we acquired it recently.

Vintage 1954 photo of Jose Froilan Gonzales, 1954 Grand Prix of Britain.
This photo was taken in the pits at Silverstone during the 1954 British Grand Prix and shows Jose Froilan Gonzales with his Ferrari 625 along with chief mechanic Meazza and on the right a gentleman called "Amerotti" according to the notes on the back. Mr. Amerotti is unknown to me.
Fangio, driving for Mercedes, had set the pole position but was overtaken by Gonzales the very first lap and Gonzales did not give the lead away anymore and finished more than a minute ahead of second placed Mike Hawthorn, also on Ferrari 625. Fangio finished 4th in his Mercedes W196.

This is a vintage 1955 photo of the great Paul Frere at the wheel of the Ferrari Super Squalo 555 that he would share with Piero Taruffi for the 1955 Grand Prix of Monaco which was name Grand Prix of Europe at that occassion.
The duo would finish the race in 8th place (out of 9 finishers...) and not less than 14 laps behind winner Maurice Trintignant on Ferrari 625.
The photo measures some 17 x 12 cm or 6.5 x 5 inches.
The back carries NO reference to the possible photographer.
This is a vintage portrait photo of Eugenio Castellotti, winner of the 1956 Mille Miglia on Ferrari 290 MM.
The photo dates from February 1956 but was printed for a customer of "Sports Car" magazine in August 1957, 5 months after Eugenio had died at the Autodromo di Modena while testing a new Ferrari for the 1957 "12 Hours of Sebring".
The photo measures some 16 x 16 cm or 6 x 6 inches and is mounted to board. Slight bumps to the corners of the board.
This vintage & original 1956 photo shows the starting grid on August 5 1956 for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring.
Ferrari scored a true 1-2-3 in qualifying which is reflected by the starting numbers of the Ferrari / Lancia D50's of Juan manuel Fangio, Peter Collins & Eugenio Castellotti.
Fangio would claim the win, being the only non-Maserati of 5 finishers...
Collins's D50 developed a fuel leak which put his car out of the race in lap 8 after which he shared a car with Alfonso the Portago who crashed the car...
Castellotti's D50 developed electrical problem which put im out of the race in lap 5 after which he shared a car with luigi Musso who... crashed out of the race as well...

1958 Plaque, Portugal Grand Prix, given to Mike Hawthorn.

This plaque was given to Mike Hawthorn for competing in the 1958 Portugal Grand Prix at Porto race track.
Mike drove a Ferrari 246 and set the second fastest qualifying time behind Stirling Moss in his Vanwall. During the race, Mike set the fastest lap time (almost 2 seconds faster than Moss's pole time!) but still came in second after Moss.
This was of course all in Mike's Championship Winning year and it was the second to last time that Mike would race in a Grand Prix...
This is what Mike said after the race:
"I was upset to find that my race number was 22. Both Pete [Collins] and Luigi [Musso] had been killed on cars with 2 as their number, and the sight of 22 on mine really put the wind up me. I rushed off to Tavoni and asked if I might have 24, which was Taffy's number, and he and Taffy both agreed; only the numbers were changed, not the actual cars."

This is a vintage 1958 photo of Wolfgang Berghe von Trips in his Ferrari 246, leading Jack brabham in his Cooper Climax during the Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone.
Wolfgang qualified 11th. and managed as high as 6th place in the race before he had to give up in lap 59 out of 75 with engine trouble.
It measures approximately 8 x 4.5 inches.
It is in mint condition and does not carry any photographer's reference.
This is a vintage 1959 B&W photo of Tony Brooks at the wheel of his Ferrari 246 F1 during the 1959 Grand Prix of the USA, held at Sebring.
This was the first ever GP in the USA.
It measures approximately 7 x 5 inches.
Excellent condition.
About the car:
This is S/N 0004, built in 1958 and is of the small tube chassis frame variety.
This is the same car in which Luigi Musso had his fatal accident during the French Grand Prix held at Reims on July 6, 1958.
The car was raced extensively during the 1958, 1959 and 1960 seasons and was raced by the above mentioned Luigi Musso and further by Wolfgang von Trips, Phil Hill, Jean Behra (amongst others a win at the Aintree 200, 1959), Cliff Allison, Olivier Gendebien, Froilan Gonzales and of course Tony brooks.
The car was broken up at the end of the 1960 season but somewhere during the 1960's Sir Anthony Bamford of the UK acquired the engine from the factory. In 1980 Graypaul Motors created a replica of the car which now seems to reside in Japan.
About the race:
Tony qualified 4th with a time of 3'05.9 and finished the race in in 3rd position, a royal 3 minutes behind winner Bruce McLaren on Cooper Climax.
1959 Photo - Grand Prix of Italy - Monza - Tony Brooks, Ferrari / Bruce McLaren, Cooper Climax.
This is a great photo of Tony Brooks in his # 30 Ferrari 246 being chased by Bruce McLaren on Cooper T51 Climax in the very first lap of the 1959 Gran Premio d'Italia at the Autodromo di Monza.
Tony would fail to complete the first lap due to clutch problems while Bruce's engine gave up the ghost in lap 22.
It measures some 9.5 x 6.5 inches (24 x 16 cm) and is black & white.
It appears to be a more modern print.
Vintage 1959 photo of Jean Behra on Ferrari 246 - Grand Prix of France - Reims.
This vintage & original 1959 photo shows Jean Behra smoking the rear tires of his Ferrari 246 on July 5 1959 during the French Grand Prix at Reims.
Jean ran in 6th postition when a piston expired in lap 31 which put him out of the race.
This picture is one of the last there is of Jean as a Grand Prix driver as this was formally his last Grand Prix and he died less than a month later (on August 1, 1959) when he crashed his privately owned Porsche at the AVUS ring in Berlin.
The photo measures some 17.5 x 12.5 cm or 7 x 5 inches and is in good condition.
1963 Targa Florio Pits print - Ferrari 250P - Simca Abarth 1300 Bialbero.
This is a vintage 1964 print of a pits scene during practise for the 1963 running of the Targa Florio.
It shows the # 174 Ferrari 250P of Mike parkes & John Surtees (accident after 4 laps) and the Abarth Simca 1300 Bialbero o# 40 of Enzo Buzzetti & Renzo Sinibaldi (DNF after 2 laps).
The Ferrari is S/N 0810 which survives to this dat in the USA.
The print COULD come from Castrol Oil as we have seen similar images in Castrol publications of that era and measures some 25 x 18 cm or 10 x 7 inches.
It is in near mint condition.
1963 Targa Florio print - Ferrari 250P S/N 0812 - Ludovico Scarfiotti.
This is a vintage 1964 print of Ludovico Scarfiotti at speed in a Sicilian village during the 1963 running of the Targa Florio.
Scarfiotti was partnered with "Wild" Willy Mairesse and unfortunately, the car was crashed on the 4th lap.
The car, bearing # 172 in this race, is S/N 0812 which survives to this day.
Beautiful poster showing the start of the 1963 edition of the Le mans 24 hour race.

Graham Hill, Ferrari 275 P2 Nurburgring 1000 KM 1965 Poster.
A truely great poster of Graham Hill at the wheel of the Maranello Concessionaires Ferrari 275 P2, S/N 0826, now residing with Ralph Lauren, during the 1965 1000 KM Rennen at the Nurburgring. Graham was partnered with Jackie Stewart for the race but they would retire due to electrical problems.

Measures approximately 26.8 x 16.8 inches or 68 x 42 cm in metric.
The hazy scan does not do justice to this very fine poster.
1965 photo of Ferrari 206 P Barchetta S/N 0834 Cesana-Sestrieres Hillclimb.
This is a more recent print (exact age unknown) of the Ferrari Dino 206 P of Ludovico Scarfiotti prior to the Cesana - Sestrieres hillclimb on July 25, 1965.
Scarfiotti would win this race outright.
The car, S/N 0834, was modified from Dino 166P earlier in July 1965 and the body was modified from Berlinetta to completely roofless Barchetta just prior to this race.
It survives to this day in the UK.
The photo is in mint condition, measures approximately 20 x 20 cm or 8 x 8 inches and carries no references to the possible photographer.

1965 Le Maine Libre Le Mans Poster - Triumph Spitfire - Ferrari 365 P2.
Issued by Le Maine Libre, a local Le Mans newspaper, in 2007 it shows the # 60 Triumph Spitfire of Jean-Jacques Thuner & Simo Lampinen (S/N FC 545 952, License Plate ADU 4B) about to be overtaken (under the Dunlop Bridge) by the # 18 Ferrari 365 365 P2 of Pedro rodriguez & Nino Vaccarella (S/N 0838).
Both cars would finish the race... The Triumph in 13th spot with 274 laps, the Ferrari in 7th spot with 320 laps to its name.

Vintage 1965 photo of Ferrari 275P2 S/N 0828, 1000 KM Nurburgring.
This is a vintage 1965 photo of the factory entered Ferrari 275 P2 of John Surtees and Ludovico Scarfiotti en route to victory in the 1965 running of the Nurburgring 1000 KM.
The car in question is S/N 0828 which has lived a troubled life, having rebodied at least twice and virtually burnt to ashes when owned by famous French cartoonist Albert Uderzo in 1981.
The photos is in mint condition, measures some 12 x 17 cm (5 x 7 inches) and carries the stamp of the photographer on the back.
John Surtees - Ferrari 1512 - Grand Prix Germany 1965 - Nurburgring - Oil Painting.
This great painting of John Surtees throwing his Ferrari 1512 through the Karussell turn at the Nurburgring during the 1965 German Grand Prix.
Unfortunately, gearbox trouble would put Sir John out of the race in lap 11.
Materials used are acrylic paint on linen.
The painting is not framed.
It measures some 41 x 31 cm or 16 x 12 inches.

This is a vintage photo (i.e. printed shortly after the image was captured on film) of the Ferrari 330 P4 Barchetta of Chris Amon & Jackie Stewart en route to 2nd place overall in the 1967 running of the BOAC 500 at Brands Hatch after having lost the engine cover.
The car, S/N 0860, was modified from Berlinetta to Barchetta right before this race and it was its only race in this guise as it would be converted to a 350 CanAm Spyder Group 7 car after this.
It survives to this day minus its original body.
The photo is in mint condition, measures approximately 21 x 16 cm or 8 x 6 inches and carries the stamp of the great Godfrey Goddard on the back.

This is a more recent color print (exact age unknown) of the Ferrari 330 P4 Spyder of Willy Mairesse & "Beurlys" driving off after a pitstop during the 1967 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The duo finished the race in 3rd place.
The car, S/N 0856, was modified from Spyder to Barchetta right after this race.
It survives to this day in Canada.
The photo is in mint condition, measures approximately 22.5 x 16 cm or 8 x 6 inches and carries no references to the possible photographer.

This is a vintage photo of the Ferrari 412P of Jean Guichet & Herbert Mueller en route to a DNF in the 1967 running of the 24 Heures du Mans.
The car, S/N 0848, was modified from 330 P3/4 to 412 P specs earlier in 1967.
It survives to this day in Switzerland.
The photo is in mint condition, measures approximately 20.5 x 16 cm or 8 x 6 inches and carries the stamp of the great Godfrey Goddard on the back.
Ferrari 512M, Le Mans 24 Hours 1971, Manfredini - Gagliardi --SLOTCAR --
This 1/32nd scale slotcar, made by Spirit of Spain, is a wonderfully detailed replica of S/N 1050, after it was modified to "M" specification, as entered by Scuderia Filipinetti and raced by Corrado Manfredini and Giancarlo Gagliardi during the 1971 Le Mans 24 Hours.
Manfredini & Gagliardi had to retire in the 14th lap due to gearbox trouble.
The original car survives to this day and now seems to reside in Switzerland.

This model, issued by Cavallo Scrimante of The Netherlands (The Netherlands Number One Ferrari model maker!) is based on a 1/18 scale Bburago 3352.
The car is an exact copy of the car with which Charles (Charlie) Kwan competed in the Super Sports Car Race preceding the Macau Grand Prix on November 18, 1995.
The car was delivered just in time to compete in the race and the mechanics had barely enough time to put on the sponsor decals so the can was entered more or less "out-of-the-box"!
The chassisnumber of the original car is 103328
The model received a decal set which is an exact replica of the decals as the care bore during the race.
The same car (i.e. in 1/1 scale) was later modified and raced again. Cavallo Scrimante also made a model of that car (CS97018).

Mike Hawthorn - Champion Year - My battle for the Driver's World Title.
4th Edition 1959.
3 Days after the manuscript was delivered to the Publishers, Mike Hawthorn was killed on the Guilford by-pass.
It tells the story of the 58 season when Hawthorn became the first British World Champion. Ironically one of the low points of the year was the death of Hawthorn’s great friend Peter Collins.
Truly it was a disastrous year for motor racing.

Vintage 1932 Photo Card - Tazio Nuvolari - Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeo 8C-2300 - Targa Florio Winner!
This is a vintage & original photo card of Tazio Nuvolari on May 8, 1932 in his Alfa Romeo 8C2300 en route to victory in the 1932 Targa Florio.
Tazio won the race ahead of his team mate Baconin Borzacchino, also on 8C-2300 and Louis Chiron / Achille Varzi who shared a factory Bugatti Type 51. Tazio also set the fastest lap with exactly 52 minutes & 56.6 seconds, a feat that is also noted on the back of this card in handwriting (although it is rounded up to 53 minutes). The front erroneously shows "1933".
The card measures some 13.5 cm, or 5 inches, in width and is in excellent condition for its age.
Vintage 1952 Photo - Ferrari 500 - V Gran Premio dell'Autodromo di Monza 1952.
This is a vintage & original photo, taken by an unknown photographer, of the Ferrari 500's of Alberto Ascari (# 20) and presumably the # 24 of Nino Farina in the pits during the 1952 Formula 2 Grand Prix at Monza.
Although Alberto won the first heat, the camshafts of his Ferrari 500 failed in the second heat which effectively put him out of the race and Nino would go on to win the race.

This is a vintage & original photo, taken by an unknown photographer, of Alberto Ascari in his Ferrari 500 being push-started from the pits during the 1952 Formula 2 Grand Prix at Monza.
Although Alberto won the first heat, the camshafts of his Ferrari 500 failed in the second heat which effectively put him out of the race.
Vintage June 1955 Domenica del Corriere - Alberto Ascari deadly crash.
This is a vintage & original June 5 1955 issue of Italian magazine "Domenica del Corriere" which pays attention to the untimely death of Italian racing ace Alberto Ascari.
On May 26, 1955 Alberto tried out the Ferrari 750 Monza (S/N 0562M) which he was to share with Eugenio Castellotti at the Autodromo di Monza. In the third lap, the car started to skid unexplicably, summersaulted and Alberto was slung from the car onto the track where he died a couple of minutes later.
The (fast!) corner where this accident happened, the "Curva di Vialone", was later renamed "Variante Ascari" in his honour.
Since there is no photographic account of the accident itself or the aftermath, the magazine had to make do with a more than excellent and very dramatic artist's impression which shows Alberto being slung from the car. That image is used on a full page which makes it excellently suited for framing.
Furthermore, there is a full page account of the accident including drawings of the path of the car and it pays attention to earlier, similar accidents and the crash of Alberto's father, Antonio Ascari at Montlhery in 1925.
Excellent condition for its age!
Vintage 1965 (LARGE !) photograph of Lorenzo Bandini testing Dino 166P S/N 0834 at Modena Track.
This is a vintage April 1965 photo of the famous Ferrari Dino 166P (S/N 0834) being tested by Scuderia Ferrari factory driver Lorenzo Bandini at Modena race track prior to its first race outing.
Judging by the brake dust on the front wheel, Lorenzo had already put a couple of laps on it when this photo was taken.
About a month later, Nino Vaccarella and the same Lorenzo Bandini would gun this 1600cc pocket rocket so fast around the Nurburgring track during the 1965 1000KM race that both officials and competitors had a hard time believing that this was actually a 1600cc car and under the watchful eye of the race commissioners the engine was taken apart after the race to verify its displacement!
The car was later "chopped" to Barchetta specification and succesfully entered in various hillclimb events and giving Ludovico Scarfiotti the 1965 European hillclimb championship.
The car survives to this day and seems to reside in the UK.
This LARGE photo measures some 30 x 20 cm or 11.8 x 7.9 inches and is in very good condition.
The back carries NO references to a possible photographer.
